Tearzah Harrel is so excited to join and be a part of the Next Step Broadway staff! Tap dancing is one of her greatest passions and she's so excited to share her own studies with the studio. Tearzah was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and started dancing at the age of 2. She danced at Grande Finale Dance Studio for 15 years and was apart of the pre-profesional traveling competition team for her final 6 years. At 12 years old, Tearzah joined her first tap company, BeatBangerz. With them she performed in multiple theaters around Portland. When she was 15, Tearzah began working with the Syncopated Ladies in their youth company #nofilter Sole Talk. She flew to LA once a month for rehearsals and performed at the Ford Theater in Los Angeles, the DC Tap fest In Washington DC as well as small performances and videos. Tearzah moved to New York City in 2019 to attend The American Musical and Dramatics Academy which she just graduated from in June of 2021 with a certificate in dance theater. Since graduation Tearzah has been working on creating her own style of choreography in contemporary and tap as well as auditioning. Tearzah has had the honor of working with names such as Chloe Arnold, Maud Arnold, Gregg Russell, Ryan Lohof and Karida Griffin. All amazing dancers in the tap world. Tearzah is excited to grow both with the studio and in her own dancing and career!
