Keisa Parrish began her dance training with Paul and Arlene Kennedy of the infamous tap studio, Universal Dance Designs which lender her the opportunity to perform with Michael Jackson. She then moved on to study with Cyd Glover-Hill, of Art in Motion, who choreographed the solo that won her the title Miss Hal Jackson Talented Teen International California State Queen 1995. Keisa attended the LA County High School of the Arts, where she was mentored by Karon Brown Lehman, and performed, with a leading role in Debbie Allen's "Pepito Story." While earning a BFA degree from Fordham University’s joint program with The Ailey® School, and performing at The Ailey School’s Spring Gala with Ronald K. Brown, she became a Radio City Rockette. During Keisa's four seasons with the Radio City Rockettes, she performed in the Christmas Spectacular, did a print ad for Bloomingdale's and performed and made special appearances all over the Tri-State area. Since residing in New York she has performed with Genesis Dance Company, Laverne Reed Productions, Tattooed Ballerinas, Universal Dance Movement, Jette Dance, and assistant choreographed for Vivian Reed Productions. Keisa has been teaching and choreographing for the past 22 years and her various schools include Harlem School of the Arts, where she was also the Assistant Dance Director, Elite Dance Challenge Competition, Pathway to the Arts, (E)motion by Design, Hal Jackson's Talented Teens International Competition, Dancers Inc. Competition, The Rockette Experience as well as many other dance studio in the Tri-State area. She is also Yoga/Pilates/TRX certified, who’s been featured in Fitness Magazine, on Pix 11 Morning News, and Buzzfeed, and had been teaching classes/workshops for great companies such as YogaWorks and Clay Gym for over 7 years. Colgate Palmolive has hired her to teach their global leaders "How to use Mindfulness to Alleviate Stress,” while The Covenant House hired her to teach “Exercising & Eating Your Stress Away.” And being the proud mother of The Dude, inspires her everyday, to be a better version of herself.
